Connect & Grow Launch
Wow what a few months it has been, such a whirlwind of emotions as I finally get to the stage of Launching my Connect & Grow resource for schools.
It has been a lot of fun, hard work, laughter and a few tears to get here. My imagination and creativity working hard to create all the content for my exercises and activities. A few days until I will be at the Scottish Learning Festival exhibition and the excitement is building. I am so grateful to my family and the organisations for their help and support in bringing my vision to reality.
Kinglassie Primary School are piloting as well as giving me feedback on the programme. Fife Business Gateway (in particular Catherine) have given me lots of advice and support. My printer, Devan from Premier engraving who helped me hone in my idea and make it happen. Bruce Davies, who worked his magic and helped make my meditations sound fantastic. I also feel really lucky to work with – Alison from Limelite Creative. Alison has been with me from the start and has not only done a fantastic job at bringing my ideas to life but has been a great support. It’s so surreal how a wee seed of an idea has now become a reality! A resource that I am both super proud to call my own and so excited to share with you all.
If you are coming along to the Learning festival, stop by stand G55 to say Hello. Myself and Llana would love to meet you as well as have a chat and introduce you to the puzzles. At the festival along with the competition we are offering 10% off the full programme for your school. Costs differ depending on individual school requirements.
The Pilot

Connect & Grow mindfulness activity programme is being piloted in Kinglassie Primary School and the initial feedback is really positive. Jeni Roy – Teacher has been using the puzzle and activities this term with her primary 1 class and is finding it really beneficial. Jeni explained how the children are both excited to use the puzzle and complete the exercises each day. After using Connect & Grown, the children are focussed as well as much more ready to learn. She is really enjoying using the resource she said “I would highly recommend the ‘Connect and Grow’ resource to all teachers. It is very easy to use, exciting and has a wealth of ideas that I feel can be implemented to improve mental health and well-being in children.”
Headteacher Jackie Carswell said about Connect & Grow ”A super resource. Great quality materials that the children love to use and so easy for staff. A wide range of simple and easy to use activities for everyone’s classrooms.”
